On October 20, the water conveyance tunnel of Zhuanshuihe Reservoir in Huangping County, which was constructed by Guizhou Company of China Railway No.5 Engineering Group, was completed, providing conditions for installing follow-up water supply pipelines on schedule.
The Zhuanshuihe Reservoir Project in Huangping County is one of the vital water source reservoirs in Guizhou Province, which is divided into two parts: the dam project and the water supply project. The reservoir hub is a typical concrete gravity dam with a total storage capacity of 2.51 million cubic meters and an average water level of 729 meters. The total length of the water conveyance tunnel is 3.8 kilometers.
During the construction process, the project team adhered to the bottom line thinking, strengthened the management and control of significant risks, and made every effort to overcome the problems of slag tapping, ventilation and power supply and drainage system caused by poor geological conditions, small excavation section, long tunnel line and reverse slope excavation, to ensure the smooth progress of construction.
